Learn to Freedive
I have always loved water. As a young girl, I would spend hours playing in the pool, swimming in dams or boogie boarding the waves at the beach. It brought me so much joy! It wasn't until 2010 where my connection to the ocean in particular began to develop as I discovered freediving while on a scuba diving holiday in Mozambique. My first experiences of freediving brought me peace that I hadn't yet experienced, while connecting me with my body in a way no other sport had done before.
At the time, I idealised Freedive instructors and never thought I'd be able to accomplish such a qualification until I completed my first official course through Cape Town Freediving in 2023. The skills that the course gave me supported my ability in the water but also equipped me in many ways on land too.
I have now taught well over 100+ Freedivers and have a particular passion for supporting those who are holding themselves back due to fear and lack of self belief (in and out of the water).
My freedive courses are for those who are curious about exploring open water spaces, while learning about their bodies and nervous systems through the breath. I view freediving as a lifestyle that takes into account nutrition, stress management, movement and connecting with nature.
Open to anyone over 16 years old, must be competent in water and with previous snorkel experience. The course consists of theory and practical with a breath work session and 2 dives (confined and open water). On completion of the course, you will be able to dive anywhere in the world as a qualified Adventure Freediver.
Cost per person: R4500 (minimum 4 participants)
